Pamela Anderson urges Zimbabwe to stop export of baby elephants
By: Agence France-Presse
HARARE, Zimbabwe – US-Canadian actress Pamela Anderson on Tuesday called for Zimbabwe to stop the export of dozens of baby elephants to China and the United Arab Emirates in what the authorities say is a move to raise funds to run game reserves.
Anderson, an honorary director of the animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), described the plight of young pachyderms currently caged in holding pens as “heart-breaking” …

Help Pamela Anderson End Horrific Animal Abuse (Video)
When I learned from my friends at Mercy For Animals that as many as a million chickens are scalded alive every year at slaughterhouses in the U.S., I was sick to my stomach. Sadly, even though birds make up more than 95 percent of the animals killed for food in this country, they are not protected by the federal Humane Methods of Slaughter Act. This means they are often killed in ways that would be illegal if the victims were cows or pigs.
But we can help change all of this!

Protest Peru’s Dolphin and Shark Slaughter
Dear Humanitarian,
Although dolphins are protected on paper by Peruvian law, thousands of dolphins are killed by fishermen each year in Peruvian waters, hunted with harpoons and butchered on board. Some of these social and intelligent creatures are eaten in coastal towns, but the majority end up as bait in shark fisheries.
This cruel practice is harming both the dolphins and the sharks. Research reveals that the proportion of undersized sharks landed is nine times more than permitted, suggesting that the population is seriously overfished

Daily Action: Tell the U.S. Navy to Stop Killing Whales With Sonar
The United States Navy’s sonar is disrupting beaked whale’s diving ability, resulting in brain bleeds and tissue damage. Several whales have beached recently on the Marianas Islands, dying in agony.
Sonar blasting by the U.S. Navy is causing clear physical signs of distress. Scientists believe that the whales who appear on shore represent only a fraction of those whales killed by sonar. This is too high a price to pay for testing of new weapons technology.
