PETA protests plan to allow python hunt in Florida Everglades

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA, is calling on officials in Florida to not allow snakes captured during the Jan. 16 to Feb. 14 python hunt in Everglades National Park to be beheaded.

The animal rights group sent a letter to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, or FWC, urging officials “to stop authorizing snake decapitation and make it clear that this egregiously inhumane killing method is unacceptable.” …
